6th Annual Independence Dragon Boat Regatta

What is the Independence Dragon Boat Regatta? Since 2007, under the direction and management of the Philadelphia Dragon Boat Association, the IDBR introduces, coaches, and races teams of 20 novice or experienced paddlers in a three-heat Dragon Boat Regatta (500 Meter Distance). Paddlers from near and far have come to Philadelphia to join us in this day-long, family-friendly event.
The regatta is organized for the purposes of fostering enjoyment of this team-building activity, raising funds for local charities, plus continued funding and support for Team USA, the 2011 IDBF Nation's Cup World Champions!
No experience is necessary, as registered teams will receive 3 free 1-hour practice sessions, coached and steered by members of the US National Dragon Boat Racing Team.
In 2011 over 60 teams competed in the regatta - don't be left standing on the shore in 2012. Make sure you reserve your place now!
