The Philadelphia Dragon Boat Association is the strongest and most decorated dragon boat team in the U.S. Our members form core of the United States Dragon Boat Federation's Team USA, and have repeatedly won the right to represent the United States in regattas all over the world.
After starting as a men's team in 1983, the modern team is made up of men, women, and youth paddlers ranging from 13 to 65 years of age. Most of us are working professionals with jobs and families, living right here in the greater Philadelphia area.
2011 IDBF WORLD CHAMPIONS - NATIONS CUP CHAMPS!
USA WINS THE NATIONS CUP! For the first time since the 2007 IDBF World Championships in Sydney, Australia, The United States won The Nations Cup, the Overall Premier World Championship Title! Congratulations to all Team USA members who have spent the last two years preparing for and making this team, and thanks to the direction and strategy of Head Coach Bob McNamara for making it all possible.
